Celebrate California Poet Laureate Lee Herrick and California Youth Poet Laureate Chloe Chou in the City Council Chambers during this special evening event. This event will feature poetry readings, a solo jazz performance by renowned saxophonist Francis Wong, and a Q&A session. Lee Herrick's new book In Praise of Late Wonder: New and Selected Poems will be available for sale, and he will be signing copies.
Additional readings will be performed by current South San Francisco Youth Poet-in-Residence Andrada Tomisinet, and former SSF Youth Poet-in-Residence Elizabeth Wong. Introductions will be provided by San Mateo County Poets Laureate Emeriti Caroline Goodwin, Lisa Rosenberg, and Aileen Cassinetto.
